The rules for using ShipLog.
Last updated June 1, 2026
By accessing or using ShipLog ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
ShipLog connects to your GitHub account and repositories to generate, host, and embed changelog content. You are responsible for the repositories you connect and the content you publish.
You sign in with GitHub. You must keep your account secure and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity under your account.
You agree not to:
The Service requests GitHub permissions needed to read repository activity and generate changelog entries. You can disconnect access at any time through GitHub or by deleting your project. We only access repositories you explicitly connect.
You retain ownership of your repository data and published changelog content. You grant ShipLog a limited license to process that data solely to provide the Service — including generating entries with AI, hosting public changelog pages, and serving embed widgets.
Changelog entries may be generated automatically from commits and pull requests. Generated text may contain errors. You should review entries before publishing. ShipLog does not guarantee accuracy of AI output.
Free and paid plans may have usage limits described on our pricing page. Paid features, when available, are billed according to the plan you select. Prices may change with reasonable notice.
We aim to keep ShipLog reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice when possible.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShipLog and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business arising from your use of the Service.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if required for security or legal reasons.
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. Material changes will be reflected on this page.
